NEW WILMINGTON – Westminster College will host its annual Independence Day celebration with a free concert and fireworks at 7:30 p.m. July 3 at Brittain Lake on campus.

The old-fashioned, family-oriented celebration, in its 33rd year, will begin at 7:30 p.m. with music by the River City Brass Band performing a variety of selections, with an emphasis on patriotic music.

The evening will be capped by a fireworks display provided by Pyrotecnico beginning around 9:15 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, although a free-will offering will be taken.
