CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The 30-year-old Lakewood mom convicted of stabbing her husband and then taking off with their daughter without permission will learn her fate Thursday morning in her sentencing hearing.
Ariel Walters pleaded guilty to one count of felonious assault and one count of endangering children. She will be sentenced on July 18.
On Dec. 24, 2023, Walters stabbed her husband, Quantez Walters, at Cove Park in Lakewood and then fled with their one-year-old daughter. Quantez survived his injuries.
Police issued an AMBER Alert and Walters turned herself in to Lakewood police on Dec. 30, 2023.
Their daughter, Choice Walters, was not injured.
