The director acknowledges his intentions in the beginning, but Stephanie’s suspicions about his stepfather are starting to undermine Morrison’s plan. After its release, ‘The Stepfather’ received numerous awards, including the Critics Award at the 1988 Cognac Festival, and has since become a cult classic. It has since been remade and has two sequels, and a Prime version.

The presence of harmony in chaos prompts the two stepbrothers to identify their shared humanity. Ferrel and Reilly’s flawless timing and poker face make ‘Step Brothers’ a show to behold. It can be viewed on Hulu.
