This is a letter to again thank LNP | LancasterOnline for its continued publication of articles about outstanding athletes in the Lancaster area.
The article “ ‘Coach’s dream’ ” in the Sept. 9 edition was another well-written article about a standout athlete named Msafiri Amisi. He is a soccer player at Lancaster Mennonite High School.
Not only is he an outstanding soccer player, but he is an outstanding young man. He arrived in Lancaster from Tanzania when he was 11 years old. He met his friend Chase Hurst through a club team called PMG Raptors and they have been friends ever since.
His coach, Fred Winey, calls Msafiri a “coach’s dream” and a game-changer. Chase referred to his friend as a great teammate, great player and great friend.
The article was very inspiring and to have positive news like that in the newspaper is very uplifting, to say the least.…Read more by
