With the conclusion of Week 4 of the Tennessee high school football season this week, players in the Knoxville area are starting to find a groove with several huge games Friday night.
Here are the Knoxville area’s top individual performances.
Shepard Strange, CAK: Strange was 13-of-21 passing for 106 yards and a touchdown in a 35-14 loss to Grace Christian.
Gabriel Dennis, Carter: Dennis had four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown in a 52-20 win over South Doyle.
Jody Scruggs, Carter: Scruggs had 15 carries for 237 yards and two touchdowns and four catches for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Brody Sparks, Carter: Sparks was 24-of-36 passing for 281 yards and four touchdowns and had four carries for 14 yards and a touchdown.
Brody Martin, Carter: Martin caught eight passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
Jaiden Bunch, Coalfield: Bunch had 18 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-13 win over Midway.
Luke Treece, Coalfield: Treece was 8-of-14 passing for 100 yards and three touchdowns.
Warren Axton, Gibbs: Axton was 9-f-15 passing for 143 yards and two touchdowns and had 13 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown in a 58-28 win over Seymour.
Maddox Brackfield, Gibbs: Brackfield led the defense with nine tackles and a 33-yards interception return.
Jackson Coffey, Grace Christian Academy: Coffey had 13 tackles, including one for a loss in a win over CAK.
Weston Edmondson, Grace Christian Academy: Edmondson was 29-of-33 passing for 336 yards and four touchdowns.
Blake Perkey, Grace Christian Academy: Perkey had six catches for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Kaden Webber, Grace Christian Academy: Webber had five catches for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Taeshaune Hamilton, Kingston: Hamilton had six carries for 121 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-12 win over Union County.
Price Davis, Maryville: Davis had 25 carries for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-14 win over West.
Will Pressley, Oak Ridge: Pressley had three catches for 107 yards and a touchdown in a 35-0 win over Karns.
Blaine Stansberry, Oak Ridge: Stansberry was 9-of-15 passing for 198 yards and three touchdowns.
Ryan Gibson, Seymour: Gibson had 21 carries for 128 yards in a loss to Gibbs.
Madden Guffey, Seymour: Guffey was 18-of-32 passing for 262 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.
Connor Ogle, Seymour: Ogle had five catches for 85 yards.
Cade Carr, South Doyle: Carr was 14-of-24 passing for 163 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Carter.
