Astrid and Raphael make their big return this Friday, November 1 on France 2, for a special crossover show with Alexandra Elle, lead detective series Jules Depardieu. In this special episode, our two heroes will take the train to Bordeaux.
They actually learned that the eye found in a jar of onions in Paris belonged to a man whose body was found in the city of Gironde. Although they must join forces in this unusual investigation, Astrid, Rafael and Alexandra quickly discover things in common.
Rafael pregnant at the end of season 4!
The most die-hard fans of Astrid and Raphael were probably very surprised by the story of this particular episode, and more specifically the behavior of Raphael (Lola Dewer). The policeman does indeed drink wine with Alexandra and falls under the spell of Antoine Doisneau (Bernard Yerles).
An attitude that doesn’t match the events of the Season 4 finale at all. Remember: In this episode, Rafael and Nicolas (Benoit Michel) finally got over the hump and got together after years.
And at the last second, Rafael took a pregnancy test and was surprised to find that he was pregnant. The end of the season, which therefore does not fit Raphael’s attitude at all in this crossover. Did the policeman lose his child? It’s not that simple…
“This is an episode that is out of the collection”…
Alarmed by this behavior, AlloCiné asked Alexandre de Seguins, the creator and screenwriter of Astrid and Raphael, where this crossover was located in the detective series’ timelines. And his answer is very clear: this episode is not a continuation of season 4.
“This crossover is clearly not between seasons 4 and 5“- he explained to us. “It was not intended to run before season 5. Such is life, we don’t always do what we want (laughs).
“In this case, this is indeed an episode that we can imagine happening during Season 4. This is an opus that is outside of the collection and that falls outside the arc of the Astrid and Raphael episodes because Raphael has a little bit of a curious behavior we mean at the end of season 4 episode 8“
And if we believe what Astrid (Sarah Mortensen) says at the beginning of the crossover, talking about the trip to Brittany that took place in the 7th episode of the 4th season, this opus will be placed between the 7th and 8th episode, respectively. .
So fear not, Astrid and Rafael Season 5 will pick up where Season 4 left off and will see the cop manage her pregnancy and her love affair with Nicolas.
