Fire that destroyed N Arthur St. mobile home determined to be ‘unintentional’

Crews with the Amarillo Fire Department responded to the scene Wednesday after receiving multiple reports of a mobile home possibly on fire in the 1600 block of North Arthur Street.
According to AFD, Amarillo firefighters arrived at about noon. AFD said in an update that crews found heavy fire showing from three of the four sides of the mobile home, and they decided a defensive approach was needed.
The fire was then extinguished, and no injuries were reported.
Crews remained on the scene Wednesday afternoon. AFD said the Fire Marshal’s Office later determined the cause of the fire to be “unintentional.”
