On 16 October 2024, the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and UAB Jūrų Laivybos Registras initiated legal proceedings against the Council of the European Union, challenging certain articles and annexes of Council Decision 2014/512/CFSP and Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014.
