Lois was born March 27, 1932, on Easter Sunday in Troublesome, now part of Kremmling, Colo. She moved with her parents to Winchester in 1934, and graduated from Craigmont High School in 1950.
In 1953, Lois moved to Portland, Ore., where she began working at Aetna. She worked there for 32 years.
In 1955, she met Ivan Mulkey of Portland and they were married on Aug. 24, 1955. They lived and worked in Portland for most of their married life. They had no children.
Lois retired in 1986, Ivan retired in 1989, and they started traveling. They were snowbirds for six years, going South every winter and spending summers in Craigmont.
In 1994, they decided to have a home base and settled in Irrigon, Ore. Ivan passed away there in December 2010.…Read more by
