In a world where public figures often boast of their success and stature, few moments can be as powerful as acts of humility.

Evangelist Suro Nyame has highlighted one such moment that he believes carries a deeper message for all.

Speaking on Shatta Wale’s performance at the recent Freedom Concert in Jamaica in a Facebook post, Nyame emphasized the symbolic power of the dancehall artist’s gesture of kneeling in tribute to Vybz Kartel.

Nyame, a devout supporter of the Shatta Movement, refuted claims that Shatta Wale underperformed at the event.

While critics argued that his set deviated from the traditional dancehall vibe, Nyame saw things differently.

“Shatta Wale didn’t just perform; he connected with the crowd,” he stated, defending the artist’s song selection, which was tailored to his unique musical style rather than strictly following the genre’s conventional tracks.

But it wasn’t just Wale’s song choices that stood out to Nyame—it was his humbling gesture towards Vybz Kartel.

The dancehall star’s decision to kneel as a mark of respect for his fellow artist was, according to Nyame, a powerful moment of humility.

“Humility is key. Shatta Wale didn’t need to do that, but he did. He knelt, showing respect to Vybz Kartel, and that is a sign of the highest form of humility,” Nyame explained.

In a world where arrogance often overshadows respect, Nyame views Shatta Wale’s act as a reminder that true greatness comes from humility.

He added, “When you humble yourself, like Shatta Wale did, God will elevate you. That’s how it works. No one gets far in life without acknowledging others and showing respect. It’s a spiritual principle.”…Read more by Gabs
