EKI Energy Services Gains SBTi Approval for 1.5°C Aligned Emission Targets – Asia Pacific

EKI Energy Services Ltd. (EKI), a climate advisory and carbon offsetting firm, has received approval from the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its ambitious emission reduction targets aimed at aligning with the 1.5°C climate scenario. This validation from SBTi accentuates EKI’s commitment to science-based action and positions it as a regional leader in setting standards for corporate sustainability and climate responsibility.

Under SBTi’s standards EKI has committed to a 42 percent reduction in its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030, using 2023 as its base year in the near term and will also set ambitious net zero target in future in line with global 1.5 degrees target.

Additionally, EKI pledges to measure and reduce its Scope 3 emissions, which account for indirect emissions occurring across its value chain.
