The rose, which is popularly referred to as the “queen of flowers,” has fascinated human hearts and inspired innumerable poets, artists, and lovers for thousands of years. Vibrant colors, delicate petals, and enchanting fragrance have made the rose a flower beyond the ordinary—it’s a symbol of love, beauty, and resilience.

Roses are considered to have first existed more than 35 million years ago; their fossils even support their early history. With over 5,000 years of cultivation, roses have become the cornerstone in numerous cultures worldwide. In ancient Persia and Rome, they signified power, luxury, and passion. Greeks linked them to Aphrodite, goddess of love.

During the Middle Ages, roses symbolized religious devotion and purity. The “War of the Roses” in England during the 15th century even got its name from the emblematic use of the red and white roses by warring factions.
