Gladstone School District Superintendent Jeremiah Patterson has been named as the new Tigard-Tualatin School District assistant superintendent.

A fifth-generation educator with nearly a decade of top district leadership, he replaces Lisa McCall, who is retiring June 30. McCall has held her position since 2019.

“Dr. Patterson brings experience and leadership that align with our district’s commitment to student success,” Tigard-Tualatin School District Superintendent Iton Udosenata said in a statement. “We are excited to have him.”

Patterson has served as Gladstone superintendent since 2024, having previously served as the district’s assistant superintendent for eight years.

The Gladstone School District serves about 1,600 students while the Tigard-Tualatin School District has more than 11,500.

“Public education is the cornerstone of our society,” said Patterson, whose both parents were educators, as is his wife. “It’s the most critical part of our social infrastructure, and I’ve been invested in student-centered work my whole life.”

Paterson’s new role will include overseeing core instructional responsibilities, leadership across a variety of services and programs, and being second in command, after the superintendent.

“I believe that TTSD is a place where my leadership and continued professional learning can make a difference for students and strengthen community connections.”
