Following government reforms announced yesterday that ground rents paid by leaseholders will be capped at £250 a year, there were some concerns that this policy would be damaging to institutional investors.

However, Oli Creasey, head of property research at Quilter Cheviot, said the actual impact on most property investors was ‘next to zero’.
