Case registered against man for calling Modi ‘traitor’ on social media – Kashmir Media Service

Kannur: A case has been registered in Kerala against a man for allegedly calling Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi a “traitor” on a social media post, police said.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Rajan C Kottoor, a native of Kottoor, has been booked under section 192 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 120(o) of the Kerala Police Act, following a complaint by a BJP activist.

The accused allegedly made the comment on a Facebook post, prompting allegations of defamation and intent to cause a riot.

Police have begun investigation, and the electronic device used to post the comment will be traced. The accused will be interrogated as part of the probe.…Read more by Monitoring Desk
