DHL Supply Chain and iglo Deutschland have extended their long-standing logistics partnership for another five years.

DHL will continue to manage the central frozen food warehouse and in-plant logistics at iglo’s facility in Reken, Westphalia. The company will also remain responsible for all transport operations across Germany.

The site in Reken serves as the main distribution hub for iglo products. DHL ensures the movement of frozen goods from production to retailers and end consumers, maintaining strict quality standards.

The two companies have worked together for more than 25 years. The partnership has evolved from regional distribution into a fully integrated, end-to-end logistics model. Since 2021, DHL has exclusively managed on-site logistics at the Reken facility.

DHL said it will continue to focus on efficiency and sustainability. The company is deploying lower-emission transport solutions, including electric trailers, alternative drive systems, and trucks powered by LPG and HVO100 biofuel.

Katrin Hölter, CEO Germany & Alps at DHL Supply Chain, said the extension reflects strong trust and a shared commitment to high-quality logistics. Volker Büttel, CEO of iglo Deutschland, described DHL as a reliable long-term partner.

The companies aim to further optimise supply chains, improve flexibility and reduce emissions, while ensuring a stable supply of frozen food across Germany.…Read more by Antonia Saratsopoulou
