At least once a year, Erie County Department of Health officials inspect all restaurants and stores that sell unpackaged food. Here is a list of violations recorded May 1-8.

Arnone’s Deli, 3342 Buffalo Road, Wesleyville Boro. (Slicer, mixing bowl, other surfaces dirty and not sanitized. The person in charge did not know enough about food safety.) Also one noncritical violation. May 6

North East American Legion, 17 S. Mill St., North East Boro. (Food found datemarked more than seven days ago.) Also one critical violation. May 6

St. Mary’s Auditorium Association, 320 E. 10th St. (Soda gun was dirty. Instructed to wash, rinse, sanitize daily.) May 1
