A teen has died after entering the water on the Chain O’ Lakes and failing to resurface.
The Fox Lake Fire Protection District was called to Meyers Bay, off Pistakee Lake, at about 6 p.m. Monday for a report that a 15-year-old was missing underwater.
An “extensive, multiagency search” was conducted that involved “multiple rescue boats, dive teams and shoreline search resources,” according to a district news release.
But the teen’s remains were located and recovered at about 7:50 p.m., the agency said.
The teen has not yet been identified.
