Immigration question not as simple as borders

There is an issue that deeply concerns me which is at the forefront of many discussions in America today.

I would like to address the issue of immigration. So many times I hear people say that there is no way that we could have a nation without protected borders, to which I agree, in part. Yet on the other side of the argument are those that argue that we are a nation of immigrants, to which I also agree.

At the present, our president is arguing the question of birthright citizenship, saying that a person should not have citizenship based solely on the fact that they were born in this country. I lean toward the beliefs of the framers of the Constitution. The framers were a large group of highly intelligent men who made decisions on the basis of many historical works and thoughts of some of the greatest thinkers in history. Contrast that with the thoughts of one man that has made many poor decisions and wants to reverse the Constitution.

Every day he puts the world in danger of extinction with his foolish thoughts and actions. We are in far more danger than we were in the 1960s Cuban missile crisis. The atomic clock moves closer to midnight every day that he is in office with the following of his sycophants.

To the many so-called Christians that read the Bible and have heard the greatest speech of all time (The Sermon on the Mount), I ask you to consider the reasoning of Jesus as to how the birds in the sky and the animals in the forests move freely and do not have any boundaries or borders. They move about without restrictions imposed on them by their own species. As long as they are not threatened and have the sustenance they need for them and their families and have no fear, they are mostly non-aggressive. With that in mind, I ask myself: Was it our creator’s intention for man to carve up the Earth that he gave all of us to fence off for our own properties and countries?

If it were not for all of the immigrants that have come to this country, we would not be the nation of greatness that we are. The majority of Americans are not indigenous to this country. We would not have had the many great doctors and scientists and wonderful people that have made us the greatest nation on Earth with all people having life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Compare that to people who live in communist countries and those in the past that have lived under fascism.
