CHICAGO (WLS) – A mother of six is dead after a shooting in Chicago Wednesday.
Police said she was an innocent bystander when someone shot and killed a man outside a store.
“Ten seconds is all it takes to think about the outcomes over the course of which cause other people pain and heartbreak. It’s just not right,” one grieving family member said.
The family was left in heartache on the day they were grieving a loved one who died exactly eight years ago.
Now, they are being forced to mourn that loved one’s daughter, who was murdered not far from home.
“I never thought that we’d be in this place again. It just don’t make no sense. That was my last sister,” another relative said.
Shell casings scattered across several West Side blocks illustrate the brazen barrage of gunfire unleashed Wednesday. Two people were killed, including Joanne Perry.
Perry’s family said, “all she wanted to do was just live her life.”

At least one of those suspects pulled out a gun and began firing at the man, hitting him multiple times, police said.
Perry was later found a distance away, shot in the chest, according to police.
Police are continuing to search for the suspects.…Read more by Tre Ward, WLS via CNN Newsource
