NEW YORK, Sept 8 (Reuters) – Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz ​of Spain ‌was stunned 6-7(5) 6-1 6-3 1-6 7-6(10-7) by Ben Shelton ‌in ​the U.S. ⁠Open quarterfinals ⁠on Tuesday, as his bid for back-to-back titles at the ​Grand Slam came to ⁠an end.
