Henry Calvin Bolinger Obituary

Yakima, WA – Henry Calvin Bolinger went to be with the Lord, peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 19, 2026. He was 89 years young.

Faith and family were most important to him.

Calvin was a very giving man. He was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends.

Calvin loved music. He played the harmonica and guitar and sang in the men’s Barbershop chorus.

Calvin loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, a baseball game with family. He spent a lot of time in the garage just tinkering on a car or building a birdhouse.

Spent many fun times with family and friends at the Anderson Island summer home. Later he and wife, Dixie, retired there at a house on the lake. Calvin and wife spent time traveling to several different countries which they really enjoyed. They met a lot of nice people during their travels.

Calvin worked for the Boeing Company for 37 years, where he painted the planes exteriors. He was able to take an early retirement at age 57.

Calvin is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dixie Bolinger, daughter, Tammy (Mel) Waggoner, son, Dan Bolinger (Shelly), grandsons, David (Audrie) Harrington, Chris (Brandi) Harrington, and Kody Waggoner, great-grandchildren, Zoe, Miles, Olivia, and Crosbie, sisters, Ruby, Marlene, and Leota. Calvin is preceded in death by parents, brother, Kenneth, sisters, Lucille, Pauli, and twin sister, Billie. Calvin will surely be missed. He is in a better place looking down on all of us.
