Devyani International Limited (DIL), a prominent global quick service restaurant (QSR) operator, has announced its financial results for the second quarter ending September 30, 2026. The company reported a substantial increase in its quarterly revenues, reaching Rs. 15,194 million, representing a growth of 10.4% year-on-year (YoY).

The company’s store network expanded to 2,325 outlets globally, with a noteworthy addition of 70 new stores during the quarter. Notably, KFC accounted for 50 of these new store openings, as the brand continued its strategic expansion in India. This development aligns with DIL’s target of introducing 200-220 new stores by the end of the financial year.

In terms of brand performance, KFC saw a same-store sales growth (SSSG) of +4.4%, Costa Coffee achieved +9.9%, and BBK delivered an SSSG of +8.1%. The company’s brand contribution margins also improved, rising by 1.3% for the quarter and 1.2% year-to-date.

Operating EBITDA for the quarter grew substantially by 34% to INR 1,251 million, with an 8.2% margin. The quarter reported a profit before tax (PBT) of INR 57 million, a significant improvement from a loss in the same period last year.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Ravi Jaipuria, Chairman of Devyani International Limited, expressed optimism about the company’s growth trajectory. He noted the positive SSSG across the brand portfolio and highlighted the effective cost control measures that aided in offsetting raw material and wage inflation.

Devyani International Limited boasts a vast network of over 2,200 stores across India, Thailand, Nigeria, and Nepal. The company holds the largest franchise rights for Yum! Brands in India and Nepal and exclusively manages international brands such as Costa Coffee.

As the company advances, it anticipates further store expansions while maintaining a focus on long-term sustainable growth. The ongoing preparations for a pre-merger were also highlighted, with approvals expected in alignment with their initial plans.
