Celebrity chef Bobby Flay is scheduled to make a special appearance Thursday at his newly-renovated and renamed restaurant at Mohegan Sun.
Flay will be cutting the ribbon to Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay at 1 p.m. The restaurant reopened last month following a two-month closure to reimagine Bobby’s Burger Palace into the new concept. As part of the ribbon cutting celebration, Flay will step behind the counter to work alongside the kitchen team, prepare orders and serve guests.
Revamped seating, enhanced design elements, updated branding and a new counter service model for order pickup are among the changes made for Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay. The bar adjoining the restaurant also underwent renovations.
The newly-redesigned Bobby’s Burgers at Mohegan Sun is one of the brand’s largest locations in the U.S. and one of the only ones to feature an adjacent full-service bar.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, guests will be able to sample items from the restaurant’s updated menu. Among its offerings are burgers created with Flay’s recipes using certified Angus beef (or grilled chicken breast or veggie patty) on a brioche bun. It also offers a rotating selection of burgers and shakes, according to a news release.
