Lee Jong Won in Talks to Join ‘Men of the Harem’ in Place of Lee Soo Hyuk – ZAPZEE – Premier Korean Entertainment Magazine

Lee Jong Won is in talks to join Netflix’s upcoming historical fantasy romance .

His agency, THE BLACK LABEL, confirmed on August 19th that the actor had received an offer to star in the series and is currently reviewing it.

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, follows Empress Latil (played by Suzy), who brings male consorts into the palace to protect her throne.

Lee Jong Won is being considered for the role of one of Latil’s consorts. The role was previously offered to Lee Soo Hyuk, but he recently withdrew from the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Lee Jong Won has established himself as a leading actor through dramas including , and He gained particular attention for his role as Park Soo Ho, a Royal Guard officer who works alongside Lee Ha Nee’s character in .

He also found success on the big screen with , which was released earlier this year. The film drew a cumulative audience of 3.24 million and became the highest-grossing Korean horror film in 23 years.

With experience across both television and film, Lee Jong Won is expected to show a new side of himself if he joins the fantasy romance.

is set to star Suzy, Lee Jong Won, Shin Seung Ho, Dex, Kim Dan and Yoo Jung Hoo. The series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix next year.
