MILFORD — A tractor-trailer broke out into flames near the diesel pumps at a truck stop Wednesday morning, according to the Milford Fire Department.
Dispatchers received numerous calls at around 6 a.m. about a tractor-trailer on fire at the Secondi Bros Truck Stop along Old Gate Lane near Interstate 95. The driver of the truck was inside the business when he learned the cab of his truck was on fire, the Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
“This driver somehow was able to get into the truck while the passenger seat was on fire and moved it far enough away from the pumps to not cause any further complications,” according to the department.
The Milford Fire Department provided photos of the damage, saying the truck “was a complete loss.” There were no reported injuries, and the tractor-trailer was not carrying any supplies at the time of the incident.
