Reta Joy Douglas Obituary – Antioch, CA (1938-2026)

Reta Joy Douglas, 87 years old, of Antioch, California, passed sway peacefully on March 31, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1938, in Braggs, Oklahoma and spent her life as a home maker and caterer. She was known above all for her integrity, loving and caring sense of humor, and she always saw the […]

Reta Joy Douglas, 87 years old, of Antioch, California, passed sway peacefully on March 31, 2026.

She was born on April 14, 1938, in Braggs, Oklahoma and spent her life as a home maker and caterer. She was known above all for her integrity, loving and caring sense of humor, and she always saw the best in people. Her passion was her family, gardening at home and gardening with her friends at the City of Sacramento Senior Center.

She is survived by her children Greg (Chris) Jessup, Glenn (Mary) Jessup, Sharon (Steve) Leach, Doug Jessup, and Heather Davis. She had 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Douglas, first husband, Rex Jessup, mother, Chloe Marlow, father, Reece Marlow, and sister, Berta Walker.

A service will be held on May 21 at 1:30 pm at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California, followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the American Cancer Society and Susan G Komen Foundation.…Read more by East Bay Times
