Mio Backhaus’ proposed move from Werder Bremen to SC Freiburg appears to be nearing completion.

According to Sky Germany, a full agreement has been reached for the 22-year-old goalkeeper’s transfer.

The report claims Werder will receive around €15 million in total, with Backhaus set to sign a contract until 2031.

With Backhaus in line to join Freiburg, the Breisgau side’s current first-choice goalkeeper, Noah Atubolu, is likely to move on.

AC Milan and Brighton & Hove Albion are among the clubs linked with Atubolu, who has been linked with a move away from Freiburg for some time.…Read more by Bulinews
