The European Union condemns Iran’s drone and missile strike on Israel. Josep Borrell, the EU’s foreign policy chief, denounced Iran’s attack on Israel as “unacceptable” in a statement on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Saturday night, April 13. He stated that this assault significantly heightens regional tensions and threatens regional security.

Meanwhile, the foreign ministers of France and Italy also responded to the attack. French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné, on X’s (formerly Twitter) account, labeled Iran’s attack on Israel as unprecedented and strongly condemned it. While affirming complete solidarity with Israel, he noted Iran’s progression toward heightened military tensions through its destabilizing actions.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, in a post on X (formerly Twitter) page, indicated that Italy closely monitors the situation following Iran’s attack on Israel and stands prepared for any scenario.

Previously, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemned Iran’s attack, underscoring his country’s support for Israel’s security and its regional partners, including Jordan and Iraq. Iran launched its drone and missile assault on Israel from its territory hours earlier, dispatching about 100 drones toward Israel.
