KINGSFORD — Marion Marsden, 84 of Kingsford was called home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from the comfort of her own bed, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1939, in Ossining, N.Y., to the late Henry and Alice (Andrews) Flewwellin. Marion spent her adult years in the Milwaukee and Iron Mountain areas, and she particularly enjoyed her time in Spread Eagle, Wis., where she loved to feed the birds and deer.

Faith and family were always most important to Marion. She put her talents to work coordinating Operation Christmas Child and assisting with funeral meals at First Covenant Church in Iron Mountain. Marion loved family get-togethers and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was an amazing seamstress and was proud to have her grandchildren wear the pajamas she made for them.

Watching the Packers, college football, and playing cards with her friends were also favorites.

Marion will be deeply missed by her three children, Holly (Steve) Stuff, Mark (Jaime) Marsden and Dawn Marsden (Shawn Ellis); 10 grandchildren, Erin (David), Nicole (Joel), Jessica (Robert), Ashley, Jennifer (Andrew), Anthony (Sydney), Afton (Cody), Joshua, Jacob and Kayla; seven great-grandchildren, Audrey, Lucy, Margo, Riley, Samuel, Karter and Cameron; brother-in-law, Prescott Spencer; best friends, Mary and Ann; and many other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marion is preceded in death by a grandson, Cody; and four siblings, Lloyd Flewwellin, Donald Flewwellin, Alice Jane Spencer and Raymond Flewwellin.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Friday, May 17, at the First Covenant Church, 125 East H Street in Iron Mountain. Rev. Chad Harrison will officiate the funeral service at 10 a.m.

Marion’s family would like to thank the staff of the Marshfield Medical Center Hospice team — especially Tammy, Perry and Emily — for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marion’s name to benefit Ehlers-Danlos syndrome research, TRICO, or the First Covenant Church Outreach Fund.
